Job Title: Registered Nurse- Stepdown Unit (Cardiac Focus)

Job Type: Regular, Full-Time

Location: Lawton, OK

Schedule: Multiple positions available for Days (6:00 am-6:30 pm) and Nights (7:00 pm-7:00 am) 

Position Summary: The RN will work in a Cardiac Stepdown Unit where they will care for intermediate acuity patients with cardia and respiratory conditions. This role involves direct patient care, care planning, team collaboration and clinical leadership. This opportunity is at a 265-bed regional referral center and integrated delivery system providing medical services in virtually every specialty. 

You will treat conditions such as:

• Chest pain (CP) rule out
• STEMI/NSTEMI
  • Post-CABG and post-thoracotomy
• Post peripheral vascular surgery/procedure
• Respiratory failure (BIPAP/Airvo)
  • Dysrhythmias or blood pressure issues requiring IV treatment
• CHF, sepsis and recovery of post-cardiac cath lab patients

Nurses in this unit manage arterial sheaths but do not titrate pressors or IV infusions. 

The role includes delivering care to a broad patient population- infants through geriatrics- which maintaining standards of professional nursing practice. 

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the State of Oklahoma and BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 6-months of nursing experience required. 
• NIH Stroke Certification required but can obtain upon hire. 
• BSN preferred.

Salary Range: $30.00-$38/82/hour DOE
