Program Coordinator and Recovery Specialist, San Jose Outpatient

Monday-Thursday 9:00am -7:00pm and Friday 9:00am -5:00pm – Hours will flex
between these hours.

Job Description:  The Program Coordinator and Recovery Specialist is responsible for the administrative functioning of the Outpatient Program which provides Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient treatment to teens struggling with mental health, behavioral, and substance use challenges. The Program Coordinator and Recovery Specialist is responsible for facilitating substance use recovery groups as well as providing additional support for clients with substance use disorders. The Program Coordinator and Recovery Specialist works in conjunction with the Clinical Program Director to ensure smooth functioning of the overall clinical program.

Duties:

1. Ensure program compliance with accreditation and program standards.

2. Assist Clinical Program Director with ensuring the smooth operation of all administrative functions of the program.

3. Provide administrative and operational support to program staff.

4. Facilitate psychoeducational groups, as assigned by Clinical Program Director. Complete clinical documentation in the EMR for all groups facilitated.

5. Oversee the client intake process, including assisting client and families with
the completion of intake paperwork, providing clients with a
program orientation, etc. 

6. Monitor client attendance, correspond with caregivers about attendance, and
notify appropriate departments for billing and insurance purposes.

7. Facilitate client outcome assessments at the required timepoints.

8. Facilitate people operations standards, including maintenance of personnel files,
ensuring staff have completed needed trainings, onboarding and offboarding
procedures, etc.

9. Purchase supplies for the program and track spending to ensure program
spending is within the allotted budget.

10. Ensure that the facility is properly maintained.

11. Coordinate vendor contracts, invoices, and scheduling.

12. Schedule psychiatry appointments weekly, and act as liaison between psychiatrist, nurse, and clinical team to ensure client medication needs are met.

13. Facilitate client Urine Drug Screens, monitor results, communicate results, and document appropriately in the EMR.

14. Facilitate weekly substance use recovery groups for the program, including Seeking Safety, Relapse Prevention, etc.

15. Facilitate weekly virtual SMART recovery meetings for Evolve clients.

16. Provide substance use recovery coaching to program clients and their caregivers in collaboration with the Primary Therapist and Clinical Program Director.

17. Complete clinical documentation for all groups and coaching meetings in the EMR.

18. Coordinate quarterly recovery panels for the program.

19. Support clients with identifying community-based recovery resources, including 12-step or SMART Recovery meetings.
Requirements:
1. Must have an active CAADAC certificate.
2. Completion of required SMART Recovery meeting facilitator training.
3. Have a professional demeanor and demonstrate appropriate boundaries with
clients.
4. Have a strong desire to interact with teens and their families and provide support
when needed.
5. BA in a related field preferred but not required.
6. Proficient in PC, Microsoft Word, Excel
7. Must have excellent organizational skills.
8. Ability to multitask and coordinate productively with other team members.
9. Be punctual; possess good commination skills; work well collaboratively with
supervisors, management, and colleagues.

Compensation: $30-$35 an hour depending on experience and licensure.
