Job Description
POLARIS TEEN CENTER is an esteemed residential treatment center serving adolescents ages 13-17 with severe mental health issues. We are currently looking for an experienced Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist or Clinical Social Worker to join our exceptional clinical team. Polaris was created by a team of mental health professionals whose life’s work is to help young people and their families. Below is the job description and position requirements. Qualified applicants only please. If candidate is not licensed, they must have at least 2000 clinical hours completed.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate comprehensive assessment, evaluation and diagnostic summary for assigned clients
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary treatment planning and updates for assigned clients
- Provide individual sessions for all assigned clients (three times weekly)
- Coordinate treatment objectives for assigned clients
- Initiate discharge and aftercare planning for assigned clients and updated discharge plan weekly
- Provide group counseling, education, and meeting per program schedule
- Provide conjoint therapy as specified in client’s treatment plans
- Facilitate ancillary services/community referrals for assigned clients
- Facilitate legal commitments with client case load when necessary
- Coordinate all treatment services needed for assigned client case load
- Ensure client records for assigned case load were comprehensive and complete to meet licensing standards
- Participate in in-services trainings, individual/group supervision meetings, and residential staff community meetings
- Assist with crisis interventions assuring milieu is therapeutic and safe
Minimum Requirements:
- Masters Degree or Higher in Psychology or Related Field
- Licensed or Associate Mental Health Professional (Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker or Psychologist) with over 2000 clinical hours completed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday 9am-5pm one night per week to be on-call.
Compensation: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year plus benefits
