Job Description: As the Principal of General Studies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education while empowering students to achieve their fullest potential. Your leadership will foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring both academic excellence and overall success.

Key Responsibilities

● Academic Leadership: Develop and maintain a high-quality general studies curriculum aligned with institutional goals and educational standards.
● Faculty Management: Recruit, observe, mentor, and support a team of educators while fostering a collaborative and professional learning environment.
● Student Development: Create programs that cater to the varied academic and personal needs of students, encouraging critical thinking and lifelong learning. Coordinate and work cooperatively with the Learning Center to support the academic progress of all classified and academically weak students.
● Operational Oversight: Manage schedules, resources, and policies to ensure efficient daily operations and adherence to academic regulations. Serve as liaison between the Head of School and other school stakeholders, including with respect to student activities, discipline, operations, and other key areas.
● Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and the broader community to promote a shared vision for success. Consult and work closely with the College Guidance Directors on academic and student placement to align with college goals.
● Continuous Improvement: Implement data-driven strategies for program evaluation and refinement to enhance educational outcomes.
● Compliance: Ensure all academic programs meet accreditation and state education requirements.

Qualifications

● Master’s or Doctorate in Administration or Education.
● Proven experience in teaching, academic leadership or administration.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Expertise in curriculum development and assessment.

Compensation: $140,000-$150,000 plus benefits
