Job Description
Position Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Day Program Manager to lead community-based programs serving adults with developmental disabilities. This role oversees daily operations, staff supervision, program development, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage all aspects of day program operations
- Supervise and train staff, including the Program Coordinator
- Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and Regional Center requirements
- Develop and update program content and activities
- Oversee client admissions, assessments, records, and IPP implementation
- Maintain program budgets, schedules, and reports
- Participate in family meetings, Regional Center meetings, and community events
- Provide direct client support when needed and ensure overall safety
- Prepare payroll reports and required quarterly/semi-annual reports
Qualifications
- Must be 21+ and eligible to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 3+ years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- 3+ years supervisory/management experience
- 3+ years administrative experience in social services or direct-support settings
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s license, clean DMV record, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass Live Scan and drug screening
- Strong discretion with confidential information
- Experience supporting culturally observant communities (preferred)
