Job Description

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and friendly Bookkeeper/Property Manager to join a family-owned property management team based in the Miracle Mile on Wilshire Boulevard. The ideal candidate will be a team player who enjoys a diverse set of responsibilities and can communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and staff. The firm manages 10-buildings throughout the LA-area.

Job Description: 

● Review/resolve delinquencies for all units 

● Review financial statements for accuracy 

● G/L maintenance 

● Post mortgages monthly – reconcile mortgage accounts 

● Bank reconciliation for all entities in QuickBooks

● Workers Comp payments – semiannual and annual audits 

● Insurance renewals, including workers comp 

● Process management fees 

● Review and post Gross Potential Report 

● Monthly/quarterly/annual owner distributions; provide monthly reporting for each building to owners. 

● Tenant relations — all inquiries and disputes past the point of onsite manager

● Communicate with onsite managers and answer any questions/concerns

● Cash management

● Large renovations/projects at properties — work with vendor, insurance liability, payments, follow up, city agencies, etc. 

● Prospect tenant review of applications, approval/denial of applications, setting lease terms such as deposit, move in dates and such 

● Process property tax payments, SCEP Fees, Business taxes, LLC12 filing, etc.

● Process payroll semimonthly 

● Process all move outs, issue payment 

● Court appearance, dispute negotiation 

● Process 1099s annually 
● Work with outside CPAs for tax prep and all other questions and concerns for all entities 
● Process all payables and receivables 

● Reconcile bank statements 

● Process semimonthly payroll and allocate payroll accordingly 

● Create/process monthly maintenance invoices for bill back 

● Allocate GL for properties, issue checks and process payments 

● G/L maintenance, prepare financial reports 

Software Used: QuickBooks & Yardi Breeze 

Qualifications: 

● Prior experience in property management or administrative support 

● Hands-on experience with Yardi software required; experience with Yardi Breeze is strongly preferred. Experience with RentCafe a plus.

● Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks (strong plus) 

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

● Friendly, professional demeanor with ability to work with and engage with a broad range of people

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

Compensation & Benefits: 

● $36-$38.50/hour DOE  

● In-office location with regular business hours
