Job Description
Overview: The Regional Director of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that provide essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness. This role requires a compassionate and collaborative approach to address the unique needs of this population. Key responsibilities include program development, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, clinical oversight, financial management, community outreach, compliance, and risk management. The Regional Director of Operations must possess significant program management experience, clinical knowledge, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a deep passion for the mission of addressing homelessness through recuperative care. The role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, community partners, and government agencies to ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-centered services while maintaining compliance with regulations and ethical standards. Success in this role is measured by positive client outcomes, effective program management, and sustained community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the operation of a homeless recuperative care facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Oversee the development and execution of recuperative care programs that address the unique needs of the homeless population.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents
- Manage facility maintenance, security, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Coordinate and monitor the delivery of services to residents, including meals, hygiene facilities, medical care, and case management support.
- Implement and maintain client-centered care process, addressing the diverse needs of the homeless population.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Recruit, train, and lead a multidisciplinary team, including medical professionals, case managers, and support staff, to provide holistic care to clients.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the program team, fostering a compassionate and collaborative work environment that promotes the well-being of both staff and clients.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement professional development initiatives for team members.
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations to establish and maintain partnerships that enhance the range and effectiveness of services provided.
- Develop and implement intake and discharge procedures, ensuring a streamlined and supportive process for residents entering and leaving the facility.
- Engage with residents, their families, and community members to ensure a client centered and culturally sensitive approach to care.
- Communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other channels.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality medical and mental health services to residents, coordinating with healthcare professionals and service providers.
- Implement and monitor clinical protocols to address the physical and mental health needs of clients.
- Coordinate with case managers to assess residents’ needs and progress.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Collaborate with finance and fundraising teams to secure funding and grants to sustain and expand program offerings.
- Monitor and analyze financial reports, identifying areas for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement systems for monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness, tracking client outcomes, and making data-driven improvements.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to funders, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders, demonstrating the impact of the recuperative care programs.
- Raise awareness of the facility’s programs and collaborate with community partners to address the root causes of homelessness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on facility operations, resident demographics, and program outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, public administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Significant experience in program management, particularly in healthcare or social services, with a focus on serving vulnerable populations.
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role is required.
- Previous experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or in a recuperative care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with healthcare and social services delivery, including an understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic and evolving needs of the homeless population and the community.

Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 plus benefits.
