Job Opening: Clinical Director

 Location: Riverside County, CA

Schedule: Full-Time

Description: The Clinical Director is responsible for the management, safety, and operation of all aspects of program services provided at our outpatient location. The incumbent will also provide supervision to a small and intimate clinical and support staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. Carry a caseload of 2-3 clients (as needed), including individual and family therapy
  2. Assess potential clients, determine, and recommend the appropriate level of care
  3. Run weekly groups.
  4. Lead team collaboration for building group curriculum
  5. Develop and recommend program goals and objectives; lead team in the design and implementation of appropriate plans to meet agreed-upon goals
  6. Conduct regular meetings with program staff to provide advice and guidance in resolving complex case problems
  7. Periodically review client treatment plans with subordinate managers to promote optimal quality and continuity of care
  8. Implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve problems to promote continuous improvement in the delivery of treatment
  9. Monitor all program documentation of treatment plans and clinical notes for Utilization Review
  10. Randomly audit client documentation to confirm record-keeping system complies with all governmental regulations and standards
  11. Supervise maintenance of electronic medical records in compliance with licensing regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards
  12. Research, plan, secure approval of, and implement new or enhanced program services
  13. Interview, hire, and retain program staff by overseeing training and development
  14. Identify staff development needs and support appropriate training
  15. Evaluate the performance and competence of staff, and when necessary, discipline and discharge subordinate staff in accordance with established personnel policies (i.e.: Performance evaluations, PIPs, etc.)
  16. Ensure objectives for professional growth and development of clinical personnel are met by providing leadership and counsel
  17. Provide staff with updates/ changes to policies, procedures and organizational goals
  18. Responsible for the supervision of the intake/discharge processes
  19. Facilitate and participate in Treatment Team meetings on a weekly basis to ensure implementation of treatment plans
  20. Assist with clinical services (community meetings, client interventions, crisis intervention, and discharge planning) as needed to support staff;
  21. Maintain and foster cooperative working relationships with a variety of referral resources and services.

Qualifications:

  1. Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
  2. Experience with MediCal.
  3. 2 years of mental health experience.
  4. Experience with Outpatient PHP, IOP desired.
  5. Must be able to pass a background check.

Compensation: $120,000-$160,000, plus benefits.
