Job Opening: Academic Instructional Coach/EL Coordinator

Location: Van Nuys or Los Angeles, CA

Schedule: Full-Time

1. Instructional Coaching including creating coaching cycles for teachers and providing frequent feedback to teachers regarding instruction
2. Update coaching cycle needs and attend weekly instructional Administration
meetings as well as review lesson plans
3. Small Group Instruction by creating and developing TA schedules, assignments and academic content, working with Academic Administrator to adjust instruction based on data
4. Teacher coverage as needed
5. Attend and contribute to Student Success Team meetings
6. Support administration in evaluation of intervention curriculum and fidelity of
7. Create and lead Professional Development sessions as needed, specifically to meet the needs of EL students
8. Implements the EL program requirements as directed by administration
9. Provides program support to facilitate language acquisition
10. Supports student ELD (English Language Development)
11. Plans and leads periodic meetings with EL staff
12. Communicates with administration, other TOSA, teachers and staff members regularly and throughout the school year
13.  Supports administration with Title III Consolidated application(s)
14. Collaborate with teachers regarding student and programmatic needs
15. Oversees and regularly reviews program evaluation and reclassification forms
16. Oversees EL rosters including RFEP and progress monitoring
17. Updates EL Plan periodically
18 Collaborate with teaching and support staff to evaluate and select program materials to support EL students
19. Serves on committees to advocate for the specific needs of EL students
20. Plans family outreach events and information nights for families of EL students
21. Facilitates ordering, administration and analysis of EL assessment (ELPAC) in
conjunction with administration
22. Disaggregate ELPAC and other EL data and lead data dives for administration, other TOSAs and teachers
23. Participates in DELAC/ELAC meetings
24. Advocates for the needs of EL students and their families

1. Clear CA Multiple Subject Credential Required
2. At least 3-5 years of successful classroom teaching in a public-school setting
3.  Coaching experience, delivering professional development and or school team leader
4. Knowledge of Student Intervention Support systems
5. Knowledge of EL strategies and best practices
6. Knowledge of Administering and Preparing Students for CAASPP and ELPAC Testing
7. Effective oral and written communication
8. Bilingual Spanish preferred

Compensation: $70,000-$85,000 with benefits. 210 working days.
